Congrats
First of all I will like to take this opportunity to congratulate all Manu, Liverpool and Chelsea supporters for their team was able to be victorious in thier respectful games during this week. Liverpool got past Sunderland by two goals to zero in which both goals came in the second half of the match thanks to strikes by David Ngog in the 52nd minute and Yossi Benayoun in the 65th. Chelsea got past Portsmouth with a 79th minute goal from Drogba who said in a recent report that he is going to stay at Stamford Bridge. My only question is why? In the mid-week matchups, we saw defending champs Manchester United take on Newcastle in what proved to be the game of the week with Newcastl opening the scoring in the 9th minute after a blunder in the six yard box by Van der Sar and Peter Lövenkrands was right on spot to slot it home. However, their lead was short thanks to Wayne Rooney's 20th minute strike that put the two teams level and so it ended at the half. Coming into the second half, the reigning champions were more settled and in charge. It did not take but all of 11 minutes into the second half for them to break the deadlock with a set piece on which Berbatov was on the receiving end to slot home to give Manchester a 2-1 lead and so it went on until the final whistle was blown. With this win, we see the Red Devils are now 7 points ahead of Chelsea and Liverpool with a game in hand that can push them to a 10 point lead. tell me is there any team that is going to catch Manchester United given the current form they are in? With the return of key players back into the squad and beautiful performances by younger players, it will be a very hard task for their opponents to get the better of this side. Their next opponent or is it safe to say victim will be Fulham this coming Saturday in the FA Cup Quarterfinal.
